Coal Mining

There are currently two strip mines and one underground mine in operation. All coal operations are leased to contractors. Annual production is in excess of 200,000 tons.

Oil and Gas

Coal Creek has an active drilling program on the property through three lessees with over 300 active wells. Natural gas annual production is in excess of 2.5 billion cubic feet. Annual oil production will exceed 75,000 barrels.
Timber

Coal Creek has two timber contractors in operation on the property with an annual output exceeding 6 million board feet. The company strives to cut below the timber growth rate each year.

Wind Power

There are 18 wind turbines on Buffalo Mountain which produce approximately 48 million KWH. The fifteen large turbines have a 256 foot tower with 139 foot blades and span 395 feet at full height.

OHV Trails

The Coal Creek OHV Area is located in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. To enter the OHV area, a land use permit is required. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the area.

Campground

Windrock Park offers a diverse set of individual camping areas, visitors can hookup RVs, bring a tent, or stay in a newly built campground cabin.
